Your Slab Warranty

Proper Care and Usage

Warning: Listening for a prolonged period at a high volume level over 110 dB may result in hearing loss. Exposure, even brief, to sound at over 130 dB may result in irreparable hearing loss.

Do NOT connect a receiver or amplifier with a higher power rating than the Slab product's power handling rating.  Doing so risks permanently damaging the audio system and will void your warranty.

Avoid placing furniture too close to heating / air vents or placing furniture in direct sunlight.
If your furniture is located near a window, it's best to use window treatments to prevent furniture from discoloring.  Heating and air outlets can fade wood and paint, as well as damage furniture over an extended period of time.

Don't place near sources of moisture.
Humidifiers and exposure to other types of moisture can damage wood's finish.

Use a damp, 100% cotton cloth for dusting wood surfaces.  Dry thoroughly.
Synthetic fibers can cause surface scratches.

Place protective materials under anything that will touch the surface.
Place felt pads under lamps, audio or computer equipment, clocks, etc.  Use a protective pad when using a ballpoint pen, coasters under beverage glasses and avoid setting anything hot on your wood furniture.  Because Slab furniture has an integrated audio system, the use of isolation pads under equipment placed on the console or desk will help to decouple items from the furniture keeping them from vibrating across the surface.  The use of pads can also protect equipment from vibration damage caused from low frequencies or loud audio playback.

Use non-plastic mats or pads to protect the console or desktop.
Plastic or rubber materials can cause an undesirable reaction with the finish, therefore avoid plastic cloths, placemats, and table top accessories.

Procedures for Using Your Slab Warranty

Your Slab warranty offers coverage for the original purchaser, beginning on the date of purchase and covers all manufacturing defects.  Once replaced, a product is only warranted for the time remaining on the original product.  It is important you notice any areas of concern promptly and notify the authorized Slab retailer where you made your purchase.  In the event the retailer is closed, you may contact customer service at support@slabaudio.com or by visiting https://slabaudio.com/pages/support. You will need to have your original sales receipt (printed or email) to begin the claim process.

The resolution, under the Slab warranty, will be to repair or replace the item at our discretion based on the terms and conditions outlined here. If a product or replacement component is no longer available, we may to choose to replace it with a comparable part or refund a prorated amount of your purchase price (prorated based on the remaining length of the applicable warranty period).

Warranty Limitations and Exclusions

For the first year of the warranty period, Slab will pay or incur - with prior approval - reasonable and customary labor charges for the repair or installation of covered replacement parts from an authorized Slab retailer. After the first year of the warranty period, the purchaser is responsible for the cost of the repair or installation of covered replacement parts.

After the first year, Slab does not pay for shipping costs to and from the factory on covered warranty items during any portion of the warranty period or after.  This is the purchaser's responsibility.  Slab reserves the right to refuse and claim for service under this limited warranty where the claimant cannot produce a copy of the receipt or such other proof of purchase.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO FURNITURE SOLD DURING CLEARANCE "LIQUIDATION", "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS", OR SIMILAR TYPES OF SALES.  ALL SUCH FURNITURE IS SOLD AS-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS, AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty only covers new products while they are owned by the original retail purchaser and used under normal household or commercial conditions.  This warranty does not apply to defects or damage caused during transportation or delivery, damage caused by repairs or attempted repairs not authorized by Slab, negligence, abuse, misuse, mistreatment, exposure to chemicals and/or liquids, accidents, any use for which the product was not designed and/or the improper maintenance, cleaning or care of the product.

SLAB EXPRESSLY LIMITS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT THE COVERED COMPONENT PARTS ARE FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE TO THE TIME PERIODS STATED IN THE LIMITED WARRANTY. SLAB EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THOSE COMPONENT PARTS THAT ARE NOT EXPRESSLY DESCRIBED AS COVERED UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND ARE SOLD AS-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS. SLAB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR AND WILL NOT PAY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Do NOT connect a receiver or amplifier with a higher power rating than the Slab product's power handling rating.  Doing so risks permanently damaging the audio system and will void your warranty.

Any product repaired or replaced under this warranty will itself be warranted only for the remainder of the warranty period of the original product being repaired or replaced.  It may be possible to order and purchase parts beyond the warranty.
